Fantasy Dining has won several awards and has been named Sweden’s most unique and Sweden’s most niche travel blog.

The blog’s main niche is going on different kinds of themed trips and eating in unique places.
The idea behind the blog is to serve as a portal to historical, fabulous and magical places around the world, including the enchanted world of books. Themed journeys can be anything from travelling to the locations of famous film and TV series to self-guided journeys in the footsteps of famous authors or artists. They can also focus on local history or the food and drink of the destination.


Forget reality for a while and come to our magical portal. Enter a world filled with amazing hotel, food & drink experiences.

The other main niche of the blog is unique dining experiences. We just love to eat and write about fun, quirky and absolutely wonderful themed restaurants and bars. We at Fantasy Dining are two self-proclaimed foodies who focus on local food and drink during our travels. We’re interested in everything from quirky themed restaurants, street food and simple joints to fine dining and extravagant tasting menus. We also have a keen interest in pubs, cocktail bars, pop-up restaurants and secret speakeasies. If you’re looking to find the coolest places in your destination, we always recommend a visit to the archives here with us first.

The owner of Fantasy Dining is Maria Karlsson and I live in Gothenburg. I’m a travel writer, content creator and visual storyteller. I’m good at creative writing and I’m a photo enthusiast who also likes to tell stories with my pictures. Fantasy Dining has been around since 2011.

We are also recurring guest writers at Freedom Travel Magasin where we have our own presentation page with our collected reports. Freedomtravel.se is a digital magazine with approx. 90,000 unique readers a month and 1.5 million page views per year.
